On a bike-ride with friends I ended up at the Topsail Hill Perserve State Park in Florida's panhandle. Right where 30A veers off the costal-highway 98. We parked our bikes at the end of the paved trail and then did the short hike to the beach. A elevated trail crossed the Sand-dunes that end at a long set of stairs to get you down to the beach. The dunes here are caled the Mountains of Florida. Now looking over the stretch of land that is piles of sand, you'd think there is not much going on, that is when it gets interesting to look deeper into the detail, and next thing is you'll see all kinds of interesting things. Just like this fat bee, more likely a Bumble Bee, that is spreading pollens for the future of this plant here, not sure that this is a honey bee and so it might be the only benefit this creature has for natures path...
